does someone want to help me out with the exact meaning of such chants as "a por ellos, olé".  it has really confused me for a while now.  "ellos" would be other team and you are cheering your team to get after them?  i don't know.  help, english friends...

USA Sports are marketing 100%, it doesn't matter if a player do it better or not, the main factor is "how much that player can do to make us rich"... you know... "show must go on"...

I read in the newspaper that the Beck´s team (L.A. Galaxy) will play this summer here in Spain the Carranza Trophy (in Cádiz). It´s true? Maybe Real Madrid will play too this summer trophy...a little of morbid fascination.

i don't think you're jumping on the hot seat at all with those comments.  it's true the MLS is not great, that's why you see so many american fans of european clubs like sevilla.  there's much more to be excited about in la liga and the premiership.  i do think beckham has mentioned the move to the MLS for at least a couple of years.  why wouldn't he want to be in hollywood (from his perspective)?  it makes perfect sense to me.

I studied in Sevilla from January to May of 2000.  Sevilla's record in matches I watched in Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan was something like 0 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses.  Despite the horrible record, Sevilla finished bottom, I fell in love with the club and will be a fan hasta la muerte.

Right now I've just finished my fourth year of grad school.  I'm studying economics and should get my Ph.D. next year.  I'm from Oregon and am studying in Pittsburgh.
